Meet Dr. Richard Calvin
Dr. Richard Calvin combines advanced state-of-the-art dentistry with a friendly, gentle style that will make you and your family more comfortable than you ever thought was possible in a dental setting. Dr. Calvin is one of the few dentists in the area that is proficient in three of the most-up-to-date treatment modalities available in dentistry: Biolase Waterlase MD Dental Laser, CEREC CAD/CAM Restoration Technology and the placement of Digitally Guided Dental Implants. Dental lasers and CAD/CAM technology are the “cutting edge” tools for gum treatments, painless dental surgeries, extractions and esthetic one visit dental restorations including crowns, veneers and bridges. Placing dental implants utilizing digitally guided technology is painless and completed in only one visit. Implants are used for replacing missing teeth so that dentures and bridges may not be needed. For the past 18 years, Dr. Calvin has used these extraordinary technologies in his practice with astounding positive results. Dr. Calvin is a lifelong resident of New Hampshire and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire in 1983. He earned his D.D.S. degree from the New York University College of Dentistry in 1987 and completed an intense general practice residency at NYU in 1988. During his 37 years in practice, Dr. Calvin has been an active member in the New Hampshire Dental Society, American Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry, the World Clinic Laser Institute and the International Dental Implant Association. Dr. Calvin has held many executive positions within his component dental society, a trustee of the NH Dental Society for 6 years and was the chairman of the Peer Review Committee for the Greater Salem Dental Society for 13 years.
When Dr. Calvin is not treating patients, he leads a very active family life with his wife Danielle and his two stepchildren Morgan and Adam. Dr. Calvin enjoys golf, skiing, biking, scuba diving, boating and traveling.
